About 60–90 minutes, start to finish
Nothing is treated on the day you arrive unless you are in pain and ask for it. The first visit exists to find out where you stand and to put a plan and a price in front of you.
Park free in the garage next door. Bring a photo ID, your insurance card if you have one, and a list of any medications. Forms can be completed online before you come.
Digital images are taken only where they are clinically indicated — enough to see between and beneath the teeth, and no more than that.
Teeth, existing work, gums, bite and soft tissues, plus an oral-cancer screening. A cavity-risk assessment tells you which habits are actually driving the problems.
Findings are shown to you on screen, ranked into what needs doing now and what can wait, with the fee for each step written down before anything is scheduled.
If a professional cleaning is what you also need, it is booked separately or as part of the Establish New Care package — cleaning and fluoride are not part of the $100 special.

Why it matters
By the time a tooth aches, the decay has usually been under way for months. A comprehensive examination with X-rays finds the things you cannot see or feel yet — decay between teeth, bone loss under the gum line, cracked fillings, an abscess forming at a root tip — while they are still small, cheap and painless to deal with.
Who treats you
AIDM® is a teaching institute. Residents — already qualified dentists in advanced postgraduate training — treat under the direct supervision of licensed clinical faculty. You get more clinical attention, not less, and the economics of the teaching mission are why a comprehensive new-patient exam and X-rays can be $100.
New-patient packages
The $100 special is the exam and the X-rays. If you already know you also want the cleaning on the same visit, the package beside it covers both — and if something hurts today, the emergency appointment is the one to ask for instead.
